Trek Itinerary
Arrive at Barsu village from Dehradun (approx. 7–8 hours drive). The journey takes you through the scenic landscapes of Uttarkashi, with the Bhagirathi River flowing alongside. On arrival, check into a guest house or homestay. Evening briefing session about the trek. Overnight stay in Barsu.
After breakfast, start your trek from Barsu village towards Barnala Tal. The trail passes through dense oak and rhododendron forests, gradually opening up to alpine meadows. Barnala Tal, a small yet beautiful lake, adds charm to the campsite. Trekking distance: 4–5 hours. Overnight stay in tents.
This is the highlight of the trek. The trail leads you through rolling green meadows which gradually expand into the vast Dayara Bugyal. On reaching the top, enjoy panoramic views of Himalayan peaks like Bandarpunch and Srikanth. Spend some time exploring the vast alpine pastures. Trekking duration: 4–5 hours. Overnight stay in tents at Dayara Bugyal campsite.
After breakfast, descend from Dayara Bugyal to Barsu, retracing the route via Barnala Tal. The descent is relatively easier and provides more opportunities to capture scenic landscapes. Overnight stay in Barsu village guest house or homestay.
After breakfast, depart from Barsu and drive back to Dehradun with wonderful memories of the trek. The journey marks the end of the Dayara Bugyal adventure with Radhika Tour & Travel.
