Bali Pass Trek Package

Bali Pass Trek Package

The Bali Pass Trek is one of the most thrilling and challenging high-altitude treks in Uttarakhand, recommended for experienced trekkers who wish to test their endurance in the mighty Himalayas. Located at an elevation of 16,207 ft (4,940 m), the Bali Pass connects the Har Ki Dun valley with the Yamunotri valley, making it a historically and culturally significant route. The trek offers awe-inspiring views of towering Himalayan peaks like Swargarohini, Bandarpoonch, Kalanag (Black Peak), and Yamunotri ranges, which surround trekkers from all sides as they gradually climb towards the pass.

Situated in the Govind Wildlife Sanctuary of Uttarkashi district, the trail to Bali Pass is a spectacular blend of everything the Himalayas are famous for – dense forests, alpine meadows, quaint villages, river crossings, high-altitude lakes, and snow-covered mountain passes. The trek starts from Sankri, a well-known base village, and takes you through charming settlements like Osla and Seema before gradually ascending to more rugged terrains. The constantly changing landscapes – from lush greenery to barren snowfields – make this trek an unmatched adventure.

The Bali Pass Trek is considered a difficult trek because of its steep ascents, long summit day, and tricky descents, especially in snow and scree zones. However, the rewards are unparalleled – standing atop the Bali Pass gives trekkers a surreal 360-degree view of Himalayan giants and a deep sense of accomplishment. The best time to attempt this trek is May–June and September–October, when the weather is stable and the trails are accessible. Trekkers must be physically fit and mentally prepared, as this trek demands endurance and determination.
