The trail passes through 2,000-year-old villages, pine and oak forests, alpine meadows, and glacial rivers. At higher altitudes, trekkers are rewarded with views of Swargarohini, Bandarpoonch, and Black Peak. According to legend, the Pandavas from the Mahabharata used this route on their journey to heaven.
